Pro Kabaddi League: Five Raiders with Maximum Points

The Pro Kabaddi League took place for the first time in 2014 and it was an instant hit. It has been 6 years since the first season and the popularity of the league and the sport is just increasing day by day. Seven seasons into the Pro Kabaddi League and now everybody is trying to analyze the game at the highest level.

The most active players in this sport are the Raiders who pick up the maximum points for their team. Over the last few seasons, many such raiders have become household names because of their successful raiding. So, let’s have a look at 5 raiders with the maximum number of points in the last 7 seasons.

5. Maninder Singh – 731 Points

Maninder Singh was a part of the Jaipur Pink Panthers for the first season who won the inaugural PKL. In 2014, he was an integral part of the team as he earned 130 raiding points which helped his team win the title.

Singh wasn’t part of any team for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th season but came back in the 5th season to play for Bengal Warriors. Since then he is a consistent performer for his team and he earned 190, 206, and 205 raiding points in the last three seasons.

With 731 points to his name, he is the 5th most successful raider in the history of PKL.

4. Ajay Thakur – 790 Points

Ajay Thakur is not only an important player in the PKL but also an integral part of the Indian team. Ajay Thakur has been part of many teams which include Bengaluru Bulls, Tamil Thalaivas, Jaipur Pink Panthers, and Puneri Paltan.

He has been part of each and every season of the PKL and overall, he has earned 790 raiding points. His most successful season was the 5th PKL season where he earned 213 raiding points.

Thakur at his best remains to be one of the top performers in the Pro Kabaddi League.

3. Deepak Niwas Hooda – 856 Points

Deepak Niwas Hooda is in third place with 856 points in just 123 games. Even though Hooda is one of the top raiders, he plays the role of an all-rounder for his team.

He made his name when he led the Puneri Paltan in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th seasons of Pro Kabaddi League. Not only that but he was also the most successful all-rounder in the 6th

and 7th season. Even after 7 seasons, he remains one of the fittest players in the game.

2. Rahul Chaudhari – 955 Points

Rahul Chaudhari who is also known as ‘Showman’ is the second most successful raiders in the history of PKL. In the first season, Chaudhari scored 151 raid points which were the second-highest that season.

Just like Ajay Thakur, his most successful season was the fifth one where he earned 184 raid points. After 7 seasons, he still remains one of the finest raiders in the PKL.

1. Pradeep Narwal – 1160 Points

Pradeep Narwal is the only raider in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League who has crossed 1000 raiding points. In just 107 games, he has earned 1160 Points for his team. He has been adjudged MVP in two consecutive seasons – Season 4 and Season 5.

Narwal is famously known for his 8-point raid against Haryana Steelers in the fifth season. In the 7th season, he again broke records as he earned 369 raiding points which are the most in any season! Pradeep Narwal is by far the best raider in the history of PKL!
