An extremely rare crossover has happened between WWE and AEW. And that too in the most unusual way possible that nobody saw coming. WWE’s Rhea Ripley of the heel faction The Judgment Day has confirmed to be dating AEW star Buddy Matthews who is also a part of the heel faction, House of Black. They are both from Australia and doing well in the rival companies.
Ripley is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, NXT Women’s champion, WWE RAW Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, one time each. While Matthews (formerly known as Buddy Murphy in WWE) is a former NXT Tag team champion, WWE Cruiserweight champion and WWE RAW Tag Team champion also one time each. He was dating WWE RAW superstar Alexa Bliss earlier while Rhea was in a relationship with Demetri Jackson from the indies.
Ripley has very recently posted a photo on her official Instagram and Twitter accounts where she can be seen standing right beside Matthews while wearing funny outfits. She was dressed as a ketchup bottle while Matthews was dressed as a hot dog. Both her posts said the same thing:

This has sparked rumors among fans of their romantic interest with each other. Although this isn’t the first time, because even last year the two were spotted at the gym working out together with Rhea on Buddy’s back. She has been throwing hints regularly about her relations with Matthews via photos.

One-time last month, on being asked by a fan “what does buddy have that I don’t” she replied “Me” which is more of a clear indication. It’s rare and refreshing to see wrestlers from opposite promotions being so open about their love for each other.
