A New development is coming in, regarding the infamous backstage brawl that happened after CM Punk’s controversial rant during the post All Out media scrum.
It was a no holds barred slug fest that saw Punk, Matt and Nick Jackson, Kenny Omega, Ace Steel and even Punk’s dog Larry getting involved.
After this unruly behavior, Omega and The Young Bucks have been suspended and there’s an update on Punk’s status in AEW. Punk has apparently joined the rest of the parties involved in the officially suspended list. This has been reported from a trusted wrestling source like Wrestling Observer Radio who are also reporting that Punk has suffered an injury during his World Championship bout against Jon Moxley that will put him on the shelf for months.

Why is CM Punk no longer the AEW World Champion?
Punk had beaten Moxley in the main event title match of AEW’s All Out PPV after losing to him earlier on a Dynamite episode that saw the unification of the world titles. After Punk’s recent meeting with AEW president Tony Khan, it’s clear that he will be off TV in the near future. He will need to undergo surgery and will require a recovery period of 6 to 8 months.
Both Punk and The Elite were forced to relinquish their championship belts as a result of this skirmish. But someone’s loss is someone’s gain, as the Death Triangle won the Trios gold this Wednesday on Dynamite and a new eliminator tournament has been declared to find a new AEW World champion in the coming weeks.
Tomorrow’s lineup for Friday Night #AEWRampage is a card that any wrestling fan will enjoy, no matter their Experience.
