Royal Challengers Bangalore had a good outing in IPL 2022. In fact, they have been doing well in the last few seasons. That said, the expectation will be that the franchise must go all the way. They do have a few gaps in the squad. The Faf du Plessis-led squad can target a few good auction signings but can also a few talented cricketers in the trade window. On that note, here, we take a look at three players RCB can target for the next IPL season in IPL 2023 trading window.
1) Chetan Sakariya
RCB has a solid pace attack comprising the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj. However, when Harshal missed a few games last season, the bowling attack lacked the spark. Here is where RCB can make an additional reliable domestic pacer a part of the unit. It would be great if the player is a left-arm pacer.
Chetan Sakariya is not getting too many games at Delhi Capitals because Khaleel Ahmed is doing well. He played for India last year and would want to build on his career. An opportunity at RCB would help him greatly in this aspect.
2) Bhanuka Rajapaksa can be targeted by RCB in IPL 2023 Trading Window

With the form that he is in, Punjab Kings would surely not be willing to release the Sri Lankan batter. However, RCB requires a left-hander in the middle-order and Rajapaksa would be a fine signing.
If Punjab Kings set sights on someone like Ben Stokes, RCB can look to get Rajapaksa to their squad. It would be a massive signing if that happens. RCB will then have to work on the balance of the XI to include the southpaw in it.
3) Mayank Markhande
Mayank Markhande is one of the players RCB can target for the next IPL season in the IPL 2023 trading window. RCB has two leg-spinners in the form of Wanindu Hasaranga and Karn Sharma. While Wanindu will obviously be a part of the XI, Karn as the backup does not give a lot of confidence. Hence, in addition, the franchise can plan to have a youngster in the unit.
The Punjab spinner has not been getting too many chances in IPL. If he can get a few matches, there is a possibility that he could do well, like in the past. Therefore, he is one of the players RCB can look to sign from Mumbai Indians.
