Undefeated WWE Superstar Returning To Challenge Roman Reigns For Undisputed Universal Championship – Reports

World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is reportedly going to face the Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns in the future. At Clash at The Castle, Roman was able to retain his titles yet again against the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre much to the dismay of the local audience as well as Drew’s fans all over the world.

Right after the win, he had a faceoff with Boxing legend Tyson Fury, who was present in the front row. It ended with them shaking hands and the Gypsy King nodding to the Tribal Chief in respect.

The boxer is no stranger to the squared circle and in his only singles WWE match, had even faced the Monster of all Monsters Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel 2019 and had beaten him via count out. He was expected to have a face off against Drew McIntyre, who had called him out in an interview, but they ended up hugging and singing together in the ring after the match.

When will Roman Reigns vs Tyson Fury match take place in WWE?

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, has claimed that the McIntyre vs Fury match was less likely to happen because Tyson was shown as Drew’s friend, both being from the UK.

However, a match between Reigns and Fury could very much happen in the future, just not this soon. He said Fury has expressed his desire to put on a pair of wrestling boots but only when he retires from boxing.

The Gypsy King wasn’t completely away from action though as he stopped Austin Theory from cashing in his Money in the bank contract in the middle of the match, by knocking him out cold with a single punch.

Fury is one of the most popular names in the boxing world today and him facing Roman could mean big bucks for WWE in a WrestleMania worthy encounter. This possibility has been confirmed by the Heavyweight champion himself.
