1) Ben Stokes
If Ben Stokes registers for the IPL 2023 Auctions, he will end up as one of the highest earners. Having recently helped England win the T20 World Cup in the final, Stokes’ stocks have further risen.
CSK needs to improve its middle order and might also need a player to support Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni in the death overs. Ben Stokes may not be the perfect fit for such a role but he is one of the best available in the market. Of course, he also adds value with his bowling. He may not replace Bravo as a bowler but will give a lot of flexibility to MS Dhoni.
2) Sam Curran
Sam Curran is one of the overseas all-rounders CSK can target to replace Dwayne Bravo in IPL 2023 Mini Auctions. The English all-rounder’s last IPL team was CSK. He is the most perfect like-to-like replacement that is possible for Bravo. Hence, the franchise could go all out for the youngster.
The winner of the Player of the Tournament in the 2022 T20 World Cup, Curran can replace Bravo as the death-overs specialist. Curran also has the skills to excel in powerplay. With the bat, he is more worthy than Bravo at the moment. He can play across the batting order although CSK would want him to use as a pinch hitter. Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have a big purse. Hence, this may not allow CSK to get hold of the cricketer.
