“IPL Means Unity In Diversity”- Twitter Reacts As Krunal Pandya And Deepak Hooda Set To Play For Same Team

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction got underway earlier today in Bengaluru, and one of the biggest stories to emerge from the auction room is that the Lucknow Super Giants have signed Indian all-rounders Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya. Both players are not on good terms. They had a disagreement during a domestic tournament while playing for Baroda.

Deepak even complained to the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) and wrote a letter to the association, informing them how Krunal Pandya did not behave professionally with him. However, Deepak received a suspension after that, and then, he moved to the Rajasthan cricket team in domestic arena.

Although their relationship is not the best right now, it goes without saying that they will have to be professional while playing for the Lucknow Super Giants. Talking about their numbers in the IPL, Hooda has played 80 matches, where he has scored 785 runs at a strike rate of 129.54.

On the other side, Krunal Pandya played all seasons of his IPL career for the Mumbai Indians, where he scored 1,143 runs and scalped 51 wickets with his left-handed bating and left-arm spin bowling. He can be a valuable asset for the Lucknow Super Giants. Here’s what he had said before the mega auction.

“Krunal Pandya will win you games – 100%. It is not me being over-confident or cocky. It is just self-belief. I am a team man. I always play to win championships,” he said to ESPNCricinfo.
