1. David Warner

David Warner has scored most runs among all the foreign batsmen in the IPL. The Aussie left-hander has scored 4706 runs in 126 IPL games so far at an average of 43.17 and a strike rate of 142.39. Warner has the highest batting average among all those who have scored at least 3000 runs in the IPL.


Warner has been an IPL champion as well, as he won the IPL trophy with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.

2. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle has hit the most number of sixes in the history of the IPL and he is ahead of everyone else by a long shot.


The Universe boss, as Gayle calls himself, has hit a total of 326 sixes in 125 IPL games. The no. 2 in the list is AB de Villiers who has hit only 212 sixes and he has taken more games than Gayle to do so. De Villiers has taken 177 games to hit 212 sixes in the IPL.

3. AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers has the highest strike rate among all the batsmen who have scored more than 3000 runs in the IPL and the former South African captain has been able to maintain his strike rate despite being slotted at a tricky batting position most of the time.

De Villiers has scored 4395 runs in 154 IPL games at a strike rate of 151.23. The batting maestro is, however, yet to win an IPL trophy.

4. Lasith Malinga


Lasith Malinga has the lowest bowling strike rate among all the bowlers who have got more than 100 wickets in the IPL which means on average, he takes the least no. of deliveries to get a batsman out in the IPL.

Malinga, who has played for Mumbai Indians right through his IPL career, has taken 170 wickets in 122 IPL games at an average of 19.80 and a strike rate of 16.6.

.5 Dwayne Bravo


Dwayne Bravo, purely from the statistical point of view, has been the best all-rounder in the history of the IPL. Bravo has not only taken 147 wickets in 134 games at a bowling average of 24.61 and a bowling strike rate of 17.5, he has also scored 1483 runs at a batting average of 23.17 and a batting strike rate of 128.28.

The Caribbean all-rounder has done the job for his team Chennai Super Kings with both bat and ball on a consistent basis.
