Mumbai Indians are usually brilliant in the trade window. In the past, they have made signings such as Dinesh Karthik, Quinton de Kock and Trent Boult during this phase. Now that their recent form is disappointing, they might stress on being more active in the trade window. On that note, here, we take a look at three players Mumbai Indians can target for the next IPL season in IPL 2023 trading window.
1) Kartik Tyagi
Mumbai Indians suffered in IPL 2022 due to a lack of bowling depth. At times, Jasprit Bumrah was the only reliable pacer in the squad. The squad must look to address this issue before the next campaign. While there is promise of Jofra Archer, MI might need to have an eye on their local talent in this department, as well.
Kartik Tyagi would be a great addition to this line-up. He is an upcoming all-phase bowler and would complement Bumrah and also learn from him. This will also help Indian cricket going forward.

If Kartik Tyagi is unattainable, Kuldeep Sen is the next possible bet. The Madhya Pradesh cricketer is known for his pace and did well in IPL 2022. Rajasthan Royals must fix their batting depth and without that, they will struggle to have Kuldeep in the XI.
If MI can tempt with extra cash, RR could be open to trading Kuldeep Sen. The signing can be an intelligent one as Mumbai would also get instant rewards and will also have its future covered.
3) Rahul Tewatia
Rahul Tewatia is one of the three players Mumbai Indians can target for the next IPL season in the IPL 2023 trading window. The all-rounder went for big money in the IPL 2022 Mega-Auction but he justified the price-tag. However, he comes with a few limitations and it might not be a surprise if Gujarat Titans are willing to let him go.
It is a difficult target to land but Mumbai Indians is capable of it. With Rahul, MI can give a solid partner for Tim David and at the same time, they can add depth to their spin attack. In Wankhede, the all-rounder will be effective with the bat and this is another reason why MI could pursue him.
