The return of the old IPL vibe
After COVID, IPL had not been happening in the usual home-and-away method. While IPL 2020 completely happened in the UAE, IPL 2021 happened partly in India and the UAE. The last edition happened completely in India. However, in this method, only fans from a few cities were getting a chance to watch the games. This was also affecting the revenue model for the teams.
However, for the next season, IPL will adopt its old home-and-away fixture method for the games. With this, the old vibes of IPL would return. In the last three years, franchises had lost connect with the home fans because they were not getting to play in front of them. However, that will change now. This means that MS Dhoni will be back at Chennai and Virat Kohli would return to play at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
