IPL 2021 is going to commence on April 9 but before that there a few things which the franchises need to look at. A couple of players from a few teams have tested Corona Positive and hence they have to follow the SOPs given by the BCCI. BCCI has given a proper Standard Operating Procedure to all the teams which they have to follow when a player or a squad member Tests Corona Positive.
In the SOPs it has been prescribed that the player or the squad member who has tested positive for Covid-19 should undergo a 10-day quarantine and a cardiac screening. The team doctor has to inform the BCCI Chief Medical officer in case anybody is found Corona Positive during IPL 2021. All the members who came in close contact with the individual who tested positive in the last 48 hours will also be isolated and tested immediately. All staff who will be handling the positive cases must compulsorily wear a full PPE kit.
While the player or squad who has tested positive for Corona is isolated, he/she has been advised to rest and asked to avoid any exercise for the preparation of IPL 2021.
