“It Goes Numb”- Shah Rukh Khan Reveals His Mindset When KKR Chased 190+ To Win IPL 2012 and 2014 Finals

Kolkata Knight Riders are former two-time IPL champions. They are one of the only three franchises that have won the IPL trophy more than once. KKR team owner and famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was present at the stadium on both occasions when his team won the final and lifted the trophy.

The first one happened in 2012 when the Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium by chasing 191 runs to win the game. Manvinder Bisla was the hero for the Kolkata-based franchise in that match.

Two years later, the Kolkata Knight Riders qualified for another IPL Final. They faced Punjab Kings in the IPL 2014 Final at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In that game, KKR chased down a 200-run target to win the match.

“After Piyush Chawla scored that winning shot, there was just mayhem in the ground. When I came to KKR, in the first year itself we became champions, so it was a different level of feeling.”
