Fans on Twitter went berserk after Indian batter Ishan Kishan played a gem of an innings in the third ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram. They feel that the way the southpaw played, this is an Indian version of Bazball.
Ishan Kishan scores double century in the third ODI against Bangladesh
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma getting ruled out of the third ODI against Bangladesh came as a blessing in disguise for the Indian team as it paved for Ishan Kishan to bat at the top of the order. Not many liked the decision to draft the southpaw in the side with Rahul Tripathi and Rajat Patidar waiting for opportunities.
But he proved all of them wrong as he played a sensational inning that put India in the top position. Kishan looked very optimistic since ball 1 and even after India lost Shikhar Dhawan, he kept playing with intent and scoring runs all over the park.
Kishan first became the first Indian opener to smash fifty in the series and after achieving the milestone he didn’t look back. He then took his opportunity with both hands as he smashed his maiden hundred in International cricket in just 85 balls.
Once he reached his hundred, he tried to put every ball for a boundary and in the process reached his 150 in just 103 balls, which is the fastest by an Indian in this format. However, he didn’t stop there as continued smashing Bangladesh pacers all over the park and making them look clueless. He paved his way to the double century 128 balls and became only the fourth Indian to achieve the feat. He now also has the highest individual score for India against Bangladesh in ODIs and also the highest by any batter in country. Kishan ended with a scored of 210 runs as he smashed 10 sixes and 24 fours to register a mammoth total.
