Royal Challengers Bangalore have a tough task in the IPL 2024 Auctions. While they have a pretty good batting line-up, the focus of the team will be on the bowling department. Apart from Mohammed Siraj, the team currently does not have one bowler who is capable of offering 4 overs in every match. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three former players whom RCB might target in IPL 2024 Auctions.
1) Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc will solve quite a few problems at RCB. Having been a part of the franchise before, Starc would be a good target for the franchise.
While Reece Topley is available as the new-ball pair for Siraj, Starc would be an upgrade. An injury alternative is needed and therefore, the team can invest in Starc.
2) KS Bharat
KS Bharat is one of the former players whom RCB might target in IPL 2024 Auctions. Although Dinesh Karthik is available on the side, RCB will need some replacement options on the roster. Someone is also needed as a backup for the No.3 role.
Bharat would be a suitable choice for these roles. He is someone who is decent against pace and has shown his strength against spin. He is a fantastic wicket-keeper, as well. Moreover, he has played at RCB before and has done a good job. Therefore, the franchise could target him again.
3) Adam Milne
Adam Milne could be an intelligent pick by RCB. It is hard for the pacers at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Apart from pace, the bowlers need to ace their variations. Hit-the-deck skills are also a must for the pacers to survive in this venue.
Milne could be a cheap option for RCB in this regard. With the purse that RCB has, someone like Gerald Coetzee may not be available. Hence, Milne would be a decent option here.
