India and South Africa are currently playing in Perth in the T20 World Cup. Temba Bavuma was under pressure to do well in this game. However, the player failed yet again. On that note, here, take a look at how Twitter reacted as South African skipper Temba Bavuma fails again in the T20 World Cup.
Indian bowlers start well after batters put on an underwhelming display
Opting to bat first, it was not a rosy start for the men in blue. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma fell early but even the likes of Virat Kohli could not do well. Deepak Hooda lost his wicket to a bad shot while Hardik Pandya fell to a blinder of catch by Kagiso Rabada. In the end, it was Suryakumar Yadav‘s stunning knock of 68 in 40 balls that helped India to a score of 133. It was an underwhelming score and the odds were completely in favour of the Proteas at the break.
However, Indian left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh had other ideas. He took two quick wickets and both Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw were men in form. With these scalps, India was back in the game. Later, Mohammed Shami also arrived at the party as he got Temba Bavuma out. Aiden Markram and David Miller must now take South Africa home.
Twitter reacts as Bavuma disappoints again in the T20 World Cup
Temba Bavuma’s form has been very poor in the last six months. In fact, since June, it was for the first time that he got to a double-digit score on Sunday. This knock of 10 from 15 balls was anyways not useful for the team. Considering the target was less, the Proteas skipper had a chance to occupy more time at the crease and apply himself. However, that did not happen. Here is how Twitter reacted to yet another disspointing show by Bavuma:
India should be disappointed that Bavuma is out. Surely you would want him to bat as long as possible, to prevent a proper batter from coming in.
