“We Don’t Really Look At It As B Side”- Temba Bavuma Reveals That The Indian T20I Team Will Still Give A Tough Fight Without Their Mainstays

IND vs SA Live Update: After taking a short break, the Indian cricket team is set to resume their season just where they had left off before the break. Players and spectators alike in India are getting pumped up for what is shaping up to be a very intense Twenty20 International series now that the South African side has arrived in the country. Even though the senior three of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah are not playing for the Indian squad, the captain of the South African team, Temba Bavuma, is certain that India will still show their battling spirit.

Notable is the fact that the Protas squad has come with their full complement of players. In addition to this, the nucleus of the South African team is comprised of players who were outstanding in the IPL. Players like Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, and Anrich Nortje played crucial roles in the victories of their respective clubs this year. They are hoping to carry over their success from the Indian Premier League to the South African national side.

We don’t consider it as a B side in the traditional sense: Temba Bavuma

During a press conference, the captain of the Proteas responded to a question regarding his opinions on the current Indian squad, which is missing some of its more experienced players, by saying, “It’s certainly a new-look Indian side. A significant number of players who performed well in the most recent iteration of the Indian Premier League have been handed chances. From our perspective as a group, there is no way that we would look at it any differently.

We don’t really view it as taking on a “B” side. The Indian Twenty20 team has been our opponent before. Therefore, when we take the field for the match, we will have the same level of drive as always. There would be a level of competition present,” Bavuma said.

The South African skipper has a lot of respect for India’s aggressive style of play in recent years, and he expressed his admiration for it. About this topic, he made the following statement: “The mentality, the philosophy, of the Indian squad has changed in the previous couple of years. They play it seriously and compete at a high level. The Indian battling spirit will still be there even if Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli aren’t going to be there.”

When questioned about the aspects of their game that the Proteas squad would want to improve, he responded by saying“The one, two, or three spots are definitely where we’d like to gain a lot more clarity. However, I believe that everything else will very much continue as it has been.”
