IND vs SA Live Update: In the first Twenty20 international match between India and South Africa, Aakash Chopra observed that Ruturaj Gaikwad did not seem to be very comfortable in the middle during Team India’s batting attempt.
Gaikwad had a score of 23 runs off of 15 balls. He and Ishan Kishan put up a partnership for the first wicket that was worth 57 runs. Although the CSK starter struck three sixes, none of them seemed to be very impressive.
In a video that was uploaded on his YouTube channel, Chopra provided his thoughts on India’s innings. In the same breath that he praised Kishan’s knock, he was not pleased with Gaikwad’s performance with the bat.
Chopra said: “The appearance of Ruturaj Gaikwad was one of restlessness. It seems that his goal was to hit a four or a six off of every ball. He scored three sixes, although one of them went off the top edge, while another one was 57 meters long. He never seemed to have a lot of command.”
IND vs SA Live Update: Aakash Chopra also talked about Shreyas Iyer

The former Indian opening batsman brought up the fact that Shreyas Iyer made South Africa pay because they did not blitz him with short-pitched deliveries.
Chopra elaborated as follows: “When it was Shreyas Iyer’s turn to bat, a lot of spin was thrown to him, but he was able to make quick work of the spinners. If you don’t give him quick bowling and the fast bowlers don’t bowl the bouncers, he knows this pitch extremely well and he smacks sixes straight down the ground. He was the captain of the Delhi Capitals for a long period.”
Chopra further said that Iyer got out when it was necessary to quicken the pace.
He went on to explain: “There was a time when two good overs were bowled, first one by Rabada and then one by Nortje, that was right after Ishan’s dismissal, and there it seemed Shreyas Iyer would have to press the pedal a little bit, and Shreyas Iyer got out there.”
