KL Rahul yet again fails when under pressure
The Indian cricketer has been going through a rough patch in recent weeks. There has been criticism that he hardly plays well under pressure. This was yet again proved on Wednesday. With Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and Washington Sundar getting out early, India needed a strong partnership between Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Especially with Rohit Sharma having hurt himself, it was the last recognized batting pair for India. However, Rahul failed yet again when India needed a strong performance by him.
It is high time that the management addresses the issue with KL Rahul. He hardly steps up when needed and this is affecting the team in crucial games. Moreover, some of the other players such as Sanju Samson are not getting chances to show how they would respond in similar situations. Pressure is also mounting on KL Rahul to perform well. If this goes the same way, his spot could come under the scanner before the 2023 ODI World Cup.
