An important series for Hardik Pandya and co.

After the semi-final loss in the 2022 T20 World Cup, India will be keen to make a statement at the next edition. There is still a lot of time for the event and the preparation has to start right away. It appears that Hardik Pandya is being groomed for the leadership role and hence, this assignment against New Zealand will be important for him.

India’s approach in the T20 format needs to be changed desperately. While the batters have to show more intent, bowlers need to find ways to adapt to the format accordingly. For the New Zealand assignment, the seniors have been rested. A number of newcomers will be looking to leave an impression in the next few weeks. This will help them cement their spot in the Indian Team. Hence, it will be an important event for all.
