England’s World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan has made a bold statement ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that he would’ve loved to play for Mumbai Indians under the leadership for Rohit Sharma.

He led Mumbai Indians to the title record five times, winning in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. Apart from these, the batter has guided the team to the two champions league title as well. Not only with the captaincy but he has led from the front as well as he has scored truckloads of runs for the side.

Following the success of Mumbai Indians in the league, Eoin Morgan said that he would’ve loved to play for the franchise under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. He said: “I would have loved to play in Mumbai Indians, the most successful IPL team, Rohit is an amazing captain, Sachin as a mentor & the legacy of the team”.

The IPL 2023 will be played from 31st March. After a dismal outing in the last season, they would be hoping to make a strong comeback and claim their sixth title.
