“I feel like I’m the end boss”- Brock Lesnar receives challenge from 36-year-old WWE star

The road to WrestleMania XL will begin next month. Ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble 2024 show, Brock Lesnar has received a challenge from a current Superstar. It looks like The Beast Incarnate may get a tough fight at the Showcase of Immortals in 2024.

Lesnar is one of the most decorated athletes in combat sports history. However, he has never held the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Gunther, who is the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history, recently spoke about fighting against Lesnar at the Show of Shows.

In a chat with Busted Open 24/7 Holiday Special on YouTube, Gunther casually mentioned his probable WrestleMania XL opponent and said:

“I don’t know if WrestleMania 40 is the time for that; we’ll see, but I feel like, in the long run, the one name I always bring up is Brock because I feel like I’m the end boss to a lot of people. But I feel like Brock is somebody who has perfected being an end boss. So, I’ve got to prove myself with him in the ring, too.”

Gunther has had a legendary reign as the Intercontinental Champion. On the Happy Holidays edition of RAW, The Ring General beat The Miz and retained his championship.

Will Gunther face Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania XL?

Multiple rumors have claimed that Lesnar is going to face Gunther at WrestleMania XL. However, the Beast Incarnate does not have any interest in winning the mid-card belts. Thus, it seems unlikely that Gunther will be the Intercontinental Champion by that time.

Perhaps, Lesnar can make a return to WWE to cost Gunther his title and then set up a match for WrestleMania XL. Gunther himself feels that he has outgrown the mid-card belt now. A feud with Lesnar will be perfect for him to transition into a main eventer in WWE.
