Team India won the second Test at Bengaluru by a margin of 238 runs. With this, Rohit Sharma‘s men have climbed up the ladder in the World Test Championship table. The discussion has now started if India would reach the finals of the event for the second successive cycle. In this article, we take a look at what Team India has to do to qualify for the 2023 ICC World Test Championship finals.
Team India completes whitewash against Sri Lanka
India’s start to the ongoing cycle of WTC was not exactly as desired. Hence, coming into the home Test series against Sri Lanka, India was slightly under pressure. Considering Sri Lanka is a subcontinent team, it was expected that India would face a tough challenge. However, that did not happen.
In both the games, at Mohali and Bengaluru, India batted Sri Lanka out of the game. While they got a big score in the first innings at Mohali, they made 252 runs in the first innings on the rank turner at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This was enough as the bowlers completed the rest of the job to give India two big wins.

India could fancy a few victories at home although Australia will pose a challenge. If India can somehow win the series against the Aussies, a spot in the final of WTC is very likely.
