“Hit The Floor At The Same Time”- Former Champion Wants 2 WWE Superstars To Win Royal Rumble 2024

Former WCW Champion Vince Russo wants WWE to repeat history at Royal Rumble 2024. He wants two Superstars to hit the floor at the same time in the final moments so that there are two winners of the match.

As always, WWE will present the Royal Rumble show in January 2024, and there will be two Rumble matches – one for the men and one for the women. There are multiple favorites to win the two matches. At the moment, it is quite difficult to pick a winner for the men’s match.

Speaking on Sportskeeda’s Writing With Russo show, Vince Russo gave his views on the upcoming Royal Rumble show and said:

“There is another way to go. Just repeat history, they do all that anyway. Cody and Punk hit the floor at the same time. They are co-winners. Cody gets Reigns, CM punk gets Rollins. I mean that sounds real simple to me.”

This controversial ending has happened twice in WWE history. Once it happened in 1994, with Lex Luger and Bret Hart being the two Superstars. 11 years later, it happened again with John Cena and Batista involved.

Why Vince Russo’s idea may not be implemented by WWE at Royal Rumble 2024

The two most popular choices for WrestleMania XL main event showdowns are Seth Rollins vs CM Punk and Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes. Hence, Vince Russo wants Punk and Rhodes to win the Rumble.

However, WWE may not prefer having an unnecessary controversial ending to the show. The reason behind that is they also have an Elimination Chamber show lined up in February. The winner of the Royal Rumble can challenge either Seth or Roman, and then, the winner of the Elimination Chamber match can chase the other champion.

It looks like CM Punk might end up winning the Royal Rumble because he walked out after that match in 2014. Cody Rhodes can then win the Elimination Chamber to finish his story.
