“Him coming back only helps”- CM Punk Gives Honest Opinion On The Rock Returning To WWE Just Before WrestleMania XL

CM Punk recently shared his thoughts on The Rock’s return to WWE, reminiscing about their encounter nearly a decade ago.

The Rock made a sensational return to the WWE a few weeks back, initially hinting at a feud with his cousin, the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. However, he surprised the WWE Universe by aligning himself with Reigns and The Bloodline, announcing his official membership in the stable last Friday.

Speaking with TNT Sports, Punk discussed The Brahma Bull’s comeback, drawing from his own experience of facing him in 2013. According to Punk, The Rock’s return is a positive development for WWE, emphasizing that it “only helps” elevate the wrestling landscape.

“I think it’s fantastic. Ten years ago, I was the guy wrestling The Rock when he made his comeback, and now, a decade later, he’s returning. The wrestling scene has evolved significantly since then, with WrestleMania expanding to two nights, making it even bigger. His comeback is a boon for everyone involved. As I always say, ‘high tide raises all ships’,” Punk remarked.

The Rock has caused controversy with his recent appearances on WWE SmackDown, especially after he smacked Cody Rhodes during the press conference for WrestleMania XL Kickoff. The Great One made audacious claims about guaranteeing The American Nightmare’s loss at WrestleMania XL when making a debut on SmackDown.
Now that Rhodes has emerged victorious in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble battle, the stage is set for an intense encounter at WrestleMania XL as he challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Fans have been speculating about The Rock’s comments on SmackDown, with many seeing his actions as possible precursors to a betrayal of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Fans are curious about the twists and turns that lie ahead as enthusiasm for the event grows and all eyes are on The Great One and his part in the main event.
