“He’s Not Getting Younger”- Former WCW Star Picks Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Opponent For WWE WrestleMania XL

Former WCW wrestler Disco Inferno recently shared his views on who should be the opponent for Stone Cold Steve Austin at WWE WrestleMania XL. The next WrestleMania will be the 40th edition of the Showcase of Immortals, and WWE is expected to go all out to present a memorable match card to the fans.

Philadelphia will host the mega event. While Stone Cold Steve Austin has not competed in a WWE match after WrestleMania 38 in Texas, he will likely be a part of the match card for the 40th edition of the mega event. Speaking on Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno suggested an opponent for Stone Cold.

In the former WCW wrestler’s view, WWE should book a match between CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin at the Showcase of Immortals. Explaining the reason behind it, Disco Inferno said:

“I think they should do Punk vs. Austin because of Austin’s age. He’s not getting younger, he’s gonna be a year older next WrestleMania. I think they should go there.”

CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin are two of the most popular Superstars in WWE history. If they indeed have a match at WrestleMania XL, it will be one of the biggest matches in pro wrestling history.

Will Stone Cold Steve Austin appear at WWE WrestleMania XL?

WrestleMania XL is still a few months away. The road to WrestleMania will start next month at Royal Rumble, and as of now, WWE has not announced any matches or special appearances for the Showcase of Immortals.

However, considering that this is a milestone event for WrestleMania, WWE might consider bringing back legends for the show. Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the biggest draws in the pro wrestling world, which is why he might come back for WrestleMania XL. It remains to be seen whether he competes in a match against CM Punk or anyone else on the show.
