AJ Styles has always been a force to reckon with and ever since his early days in the circuit, people have loved his presence whether he has been a babyface or a heel. But if there one thing that everyone should know about him is that he is a family man and he let go of what could have been a defining moment in his career early on in 2002 just to accommodate his wife’s request.
For everyone who are unaware of the fact that AJ Style’s wife is a teacher and she is exceptionally good at what she does. But then for someone like Styles who has to travel the world for his job, i.e pro-wrestling, he once turned down WWE to just ensure the fact that his wife got her dream job.
Talking to WWE Untold, Styles said, “That development deal consists of me moving to Cincinnati. I ended up talking to Jonny Ace. I said ‘I really appreciate this, but I can’t move to Cincinnati and disrupt my family.’ I feel like my wife’s dream came first with her wanting to be a teacher. And I didn’t want to mess that up. And, lo and behold, I think that was the best decision I’d ever make.”
This simply shows how good AJ Styles is as a family man as well. Letting go of WWE’s offer and that too early on in your career, it makes immense difference and it needs a lot of guts. But as the famous adage states, there is no bigger dream than love and there is no bigger power in the world than love.
AJ Styles is a complete wrestler and apart from his fighting flair, his personality is what sets him apart from the others. The Phenomenal One knows what he is doing, whether it is in the ring or outside it.
