Here Is The Reason Why Solo Sikoa Was Stripped Of His WWE NXT North American Championship

As a major shocker on NXT as it opened up, Solo Sikoa was stripped of his NXT North American Championship belt. Sikoa was recently moved to SmackDown to be with his brothers, The Bloodline and had even defended his North American title on the blue brand against Madcap Moss.

He was seen brandishing it while on the press conference for WWE Crown Jewel last Saturday at Las Vegas. It seems he will be done with NXT now and will be a regular on the main roster (SmackDown) where he will be joining the Bloodline and helping them retain their all their Gold. With him being the North American champion, the faction was all Golden temporarily, excluding honorary team member Sami Zayn, Roman being the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and the Usos being the Undisputed tag team champions.

The Street Champion had only just become the champion last week on the show after beating Carmelo Hayes in the main event. Hayes’ original challenger Wes Lee was taken out by Hayes himself and his partner Trick Williams backstage in the locker room, leading to Sikoa challenging Hayes and winning title.

Who won the WWE NXT North American Championship after Solo Sikoa?

This week’s NXT started with both Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes at Senior Vice President Shawn Michaels’ office. Michaels then revealed the shocker that Solo wasn’t sanctioned to compete on last week’s title match as he wasn’t chosen by the fans and thus has to vacate the NXT North American Championship. They shook hands and Shawn wished him well on his main roster journey. Hayes wanted the title to be handed back to him, but the veteran reminded him that he can’t outsmart the system.

A 5-man Ladder match for Halloween Havoc was then announced by the SVP that will take place in six weeks’ time and then out of the five, a new champion will be witnessed, who grabs the belt being suspended over the ring by climbing the ladder. Till then, the North American title stays vacant.
