
The last 24 hours saw a major switch in the broadcast teams of WWE. A new set of WWE Commentators and Analysts for RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. However, former RAW commentator Jimmy Smith was not a part of any team and was let go later on. Fans are now wondering about the reason why Jimmy Smith is not on WWE RAW.
The former MMA Fighter joined the RAW commentary booth as the play-by-play announcer last year in May, replacing Adnan Virk. He worked alongside Cory Graves and Byron Saxton and furthermore was regarded for his work even during his short tenure. In a recent social media post, he confirmed his departure right after the WWE announced the significant changes to its broadcast teams.

He also revealed the moment he figured out that he was about to be released by the company:
“I went, why would I have to give that note to Cole if I’m calling the match on Saturday? Oh. I’m not calling the match on Saturday. Oh, I’m probably fired.”

Despite being let go by the company, he stated having a good experience working with the global juggernaut:
“It was a ton of fun, it was once again, working for the circus. It was bizarre, it was weird, I learned a lot,” Smith concluded.
