Austin Theory lost his Money in the Bank contract in one of the most embarrassing ways possible on this week’s episode of WWE RAW. The rising star, who became the youngest Superstar to win the Money in the Bank contract earlier this year, decided to cash it in for the United States Championship in the main event of Monday night RAW.
Speaking about the way things panned out on RAW, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins came out in the final segment of the show and issued an open challenge for the WWE United States Championship. Mustafa Ali appeared on the big screen and teased answering the challenge. However, The All Mighty Bobby Lashley took him out backstage.
Lashley then came out and answered Rollins’ challenge, but before the official rang the bell, The All Mighty attacked the Visionary. The match never started, and Lashley ended up destroying Rollins in the ringside area. He even put him through the announcers’ table before Adam Pearce asked him to return backstage.

As Lashley was returning, Austin Theory came out and decided to cash-in his Monday in the Bank contract. He became the first Superstar to cash-in his contract for a mid-card championship. Theory almost defeated Rollins in the match before Lashley interfered and brutally assaulted him. Eventually, Rollins hit a stomp on Theory and secured the win.
Is Triple H the reason behind Austin Theory losing his WWE Money in the Bank contract?

When Theory was on NXT, Triple H used him as a second fiddle guy to Johnny Gargano, but Vince McMahon pushed him to the top in no time during his brief run on the main roster. He became the youngest United States Champion and the youngest Money in the Bank winner.
Fans booed him heavily wherever he went. It looked like Theory will be the next big thing in WWE, but Triple H is probably not so keen on him, which is why he took the briefcase from him in the most embarrassing manner possible.
