Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar has struggled to make an impact so far. He has not got a lot of opportunities to showcase his skills. Now, in a major decision in his career, the youngster is unlikely to play for Mumbai in the next domestic season. Here, we take a look at the reason why Arjun Tendulkar will not play for Mumbai next season.
Arjun Tendulkar will not play for Mumbai next season
So far, Arjun has played for Mumbai in T20 games. However, he has not featured them in the other formats. Even in the T20s, Arjun has only two matches in his career now. Hence, the player has reportedly sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association to play for a different team next year.
SRT Sports Management, which handles Arjun Tendulkar, in a statement, said, “Getting maximum game time on the ground is important for Arjun at this juncture of his career. We believe that the shift will improve the probability of Arjun featuring in more competitive matches. He is embarking on a new phase of his cricketing career.”

Arjun is likely to play for Goa next season
It has been reported that Arjun Tendulkar will play for Goa in the next domestic cycle. The President of the Goa Cricket Association has said that the team is looking for left-arm seamers and therefore, Arjun will be a part of the white-ball trials that will happen soon. The coaches will take the final decision on whether to utilize the services of the cricketer.
Meanwhile, Arjun’s career in the IPL has also not gone in the desired route so far. Although many youngsters got an opportunity in IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians could not offer a chance to Arjun. It now needs to be seen if the franchise will release him or if would they keep him for the next season.
