The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is about to reach its business end. The points table of the league suggests that we are in for an exciting finish and apart from Gujarat Titans (GT) no other teams look certain to qualify for the playoffs. With just a few games remaining before the league ends, it remains to be seen who all will make it into the playoffs.
Here is the qualification scenario for LSG after losing to Gujarat Titans
Coming to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), they after dominating the first half of the tournament have found themselves in a spot of bother. They suffered a loss against Gujarat Titans (GT) in their recent game and have now 11 points from 11 games.
Although they are placed third on the points table, but the teams down are just 1 win away from displacing them and pushing them out of the top 4. Their chances to qualify have diminished and they now needed to pull their socks up to stand a chance.
IPL 2023 Playoffs chances after GT's win:
GT – 91% changes to 99%.
LSG – 58% changes to 40%.

Despite a loss against GT, they have a good net run rate but they now need to win all three games to ensure their qualification. Win in the next three games will take them to 17 points. Their chances to qualify now stand at 42.09%. But what they need is to win the games. They can’t afford loss now as they already have been hampered at one point by the rain.
LSG remaining fixtures:
May 13 | Saturday | Sunrisers Hyderabad | Hyderabad | 3:30 PM |
May 16 | Tuesday | Mumbai Indians | Lucknow | 7:30 PM |
May 20 | Saturday | Kolkata Knight Riders | Kolkata | 7:30 |
