Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by just three runs to get their second win of the tournament. The way that this group is shaping up, even Bangladesh has a chance to reach the semis of the T20 World Cup. On that note, here, we take a look at how Bangladesh can qualify for the ongoing 2022 T20 World Cup Semi Finals.
How can Bangladesh qualify for the ongoing 2022 T20 World Cup Semi Finals?
Bangladesh is a team that has been poor in the T20 format for a while now. It is only on the basis of their wins at home in bilateral tournaments that they are qualifying for the Super 12 stage. If not for these wins, Bangladesh, in their current form, deserve to play in the first round. While that is a topic of discussion for another day, at the moment, it looks like even Bangladesh has a chance to feature in the semi-finals of the T20 WC.
After the close win against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh now stands at No.2 on the table with four points from two victories. If this win can give them confidence, they can target to qualify. For that, though, they would need help from other teams. At the same time, they need to win against Pakistan and will hope that India wins all the remaining games. South Africa will have to lose to India and Pakistan while Zimbabwe also has to lose one of its matches.
Requirment for Bangladesh to qualify for Semi Finals
1. India needs to win all 3 matches
2. South Africa needs to lose to Pakistan and India.
3. Zimbabwe needs to lose one of the matches
4. Then Bangladesh needs to defeat Pakistan in the last match

A tough task for the Bangla squad
It is really tough to expect the Shakib Al Hasan-led squad to reach the next stage. They have been poor and it needs to be seen if they can do well against India and Pakistan.
Moreover, right now, it looks unlikely that South Africa will lose both against India and Pakistan. Even if that happens, it will be Pakistan that will have a good chance because they will back themselves against Bangladesh in the last match.
