India’s young cricketer Shubman Gill has been making waves in white-ball cricket ever since he donned the Indian outfit. Recently, he became the youngest cricketer to score a double century in One-Day Internationals.
Besides that, he also became the youngest cricketer to score a century in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. The right-handed batsman has already shown promising signs at such a young age.
If he is backed properly by the team management, then he is certainly destined for greatness. The young star is currently part of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series against the Australian cricket team.
He didn’t get a chance to express himself in the first two Tests and was warming the bench. However, he was brought into the mix for the third Test match in Indore where he scored 21 and 5 in the first and second innings.

Meanwhile, the youngster is also a part of the playing XI in the ongoing fourth Test match which is currently being held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Australia’s stand-in captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat first.
During the game, Shubman Gill stole the spotlight after he donned a never-before-seen helmet while patrolling at short-leg. The pictures of Shubman Gill wearing a new grill helmet have gone viral on the internet.
Netizens also came up with interesting reactions to the post. Meanwhile, the Australian cricket team got off to a superb start in the form of Travis Head and Usman Khawaja as both the left-handers added 61 runs for the opening wicket before Head fell prey to Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling.
On the other hand, Marnus Labuschagne was clean-bowled by Mohammed Shami. While Travis Head scored 32 runs, Marnus scored 3 runs. Australia scored 149/2 at the stroke of Tea as Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith are batting on 65 and 38 respectively.
