“He Isn’t Coming Back”, “We Gotta Move On”- Latest Update On CM Punk’s WWE Return Leaves Fans Disappointed

The latest backstage update on CM Punk’s WWE return has left the fans disappointed. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Punk will not return to WWE anytime soon. When Meltzer asked WWE officials for an update on the controversial Superstar’s comeback, he received a strong no.

The rumors of CM Punk’s WWE return have been the hot topic of discussion in the pro wrestling community ever since AEW released their former world champion. A massive backstage controversy forced Tony Khan to fire Punk from the company, and he has been a free agent since then.

A lot of rumors surfaced on social media, claiming that Punk is in talks with WWE for a return. Some of them even reported that the deal is done and he will likely return by the end of 2023. With Survivor Series 2023 happening in Chicago, it seemed to be the perfect stage for his return.

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell gave his two cents on the CM Punk rumors and said on Story Time With Dutch Mantell:

“They fired him, which left the door open for WWE for him to go there, and that’s what everybody thought – me included. But now it comes out that no, they don’t wanna sign him right now.”

WWE Survivor Series will happen on November 25. There are still a few weeks left for the show. It will be interesting to see if the rumors change when the show nears.
