Rinku Singh, who impressed many with his staggering performance last year, smashed 3 fifties in the 4 games he played. He scored unbeaten 89 runs from just 37 balls in the first game and then followed it up with two more fifties. The southpaw had a staggering domestic season and would be vital for the team’s chances this time around in the absence of Shreyas Iyer.
Iyer has been ruled out of the first half of the tournament and in his absence, KKR has named Nitish Rana as the skipper. With the right-hander being ruled out of the league, the role for Rana and Rinku becomes even more crucial as KKR’s middle order will be dependent on them.
