4 Potential Storylines For Becky Lynch When She Returns To WWE

Becky Lynch is considered one of the biggest stars of this generation in WWE. The female Superstar revolutionized the business ever since she slapped Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018 and began her road to the top of the mountain winning multiple championships, battling top Superstars of the business, and becoming the first-ever female Superstar alongside Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey to main event WrestleMania.

Big Time Becks was last seen on WWE programming on the August 1 episode of WWE RAW, during an in-ring segment with current RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair hinting towards a face turn and return of her ‘The Man’ persona not before being attacked by Bayley and her accomplices Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky backstage as she exited the ring after a heartfelt speech.

This was done to write off Lynch who suffered a separated shoulder during her match with Belair at Summerslam and is expected to be out of action for an extended period of time.

We saw the WWE landscape completely shift its course the last time Becky Lynch made her return at WWE Summerslam 2021 after a long absence from the WWE due to her pregnancy and it would be no different the next time The Man comes around. Here are the Top 5 potential storylines for Becky Lynch’s return:

1. Becky Lynch forms her own Squad

Becky Lynch could pick up from where things were left off by targeting Bayley and her allies for their assault that added insult to her injury by leading her own squad (also including NXT female Superstars) into a classic 6 person tag team match avenging what The Role Model and her teammates Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky did right after she had an emotional exit on RAW.

2. Becky Lynch chases her maiden Tag Team Championship

The Man Becky Lynch has accomplished a lot in the WWE, but there is still one big omission from her impressive resume i.e WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Unlike her contemporaries and fellow Four Horsewomen, Becky is the only one to have never tasted tag team Gold (and also the NXT Women’s Championship) so it would sensible for Becky to team up with the likes of Bianca Belair or Asuka to go after the Women’s tag team titles upon her return from injury.

3. The Man and The Queen collide

Becky’s return could possibly coincide with Charlotte Flair’s, who herself has not been on WWE Programming ever since losing the Smackdown Women’s title to Ronda Rousey in a grueling ‘I Quit match’ at Wrestlemania Backlash.

A segment mirroring the famous in-ring confrontation of The Undertaker and Triple H in 2011 when both Superstars made their return after a long hiatus could see The Man and The Queen return on the same night ready to collide once again in an instant classic bout.

4. Becky returns on the Road to WrestleMania 39

The WWE universe could finally be able to witness the one feud they have been asking for years, surrounding Becky Lynch’s return. The Man could rehabilitate better taking longer than expected time to return at the 2023 Royal Rumble entering the namesake match as a surprise entrant to win the over-the-tope-rope battle royal for the second time in her career while Rousey could potentially be the Women’s Champion of either RAW or Smackdown around the same time.

This could set the tone for one of the biggest blockbusters under the bright lights of Hollywood as Ronda Rousey would set to battle The Man Becky Lynch for WWE Women’s Championship in a long-awaited one-on-one match at WrestleMania 39.
