Former WWE Superstar CM Punk grabbed the headlines after his controversial fight with The Elite at AEW All Out. After the pay-per-view ended, reports emerged claiming that Punk had a confrontation with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
Although CM Punk had just captured the AEW World Championship, he was forced to relinquish the title on Wednesday night’s Dynamite. Tony Khan suspended both Punk and The Elite from AEW until the investigation of what exactly happened backstage ended.

Fans are still waiting for an official update on whether CM Punk will come back to AEW or not. Amid the controversy, WWE NXT commentator Booker T has shared his views on whether the Second City Saint will return to WWE. Here’s what Booker T had to say on his Hall of Fame podcast:
“I don’t think it’s a big chance or anything like that that we see CM Punk back in WWE. I don’t think CM Punk wants to go back to WWE. CM Punk has made it perfectly clear ever since he’s shown up in AEW what he feels.”

According to a report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Punk is unlikely to return to AEW. Many Superstars of the AEW locker room have voted against Punk despite his ability to attract fans to the TV screens and arenas.
Punk won the AEW World Championship twice. However, he could not defend his title even once due to injuries. The end of Punk’s AEW career could also be the end of his professional wrestling career unless he decides to work on his professional relationship with Triple H and sign a deal with WWE.
As Booker T said, the chances are very low. However, one should never say never in the world of professional wrestling.
