When it comes to entertainment wrestling, one major talking point in the ring is that how safety protocols are being deployed. Particularly keeping in mind what it means to be a wrestling superstar, one completely forgets the fact that they stake their bodies every day just to keep their profession up and going. There are reports going around that AEW will be adopting new safety measures keeping in mind the safety protocols of the wrestlers which is equivalent to WWE’s PG product.

Everyone in the wrestling universe is aware of the fact that WWE is a PG 13 product for ten years now while AEW is now thinking of adopting these measures to ensure that their wrestlers are being put in harm’s way too often that can dampen their roster frequently.

Going by the reports of Fightful Select, this new decision by Tony Khan and his higher-ups it may be impact All Elite Wrestling and in fact, what was the USP of the company may entirely pivot into something else. As per the reports, they will be banning a few moves that are being deemed unsafe and has been jeopardizing the safety of the players.

A few moves that may be banned includes unprotected chair shots to the head and back of the head, and blind moves on turnbuckles.

Wrestlers bleeding in the crowd or even spitting may be prohibited as well. This will also be laced with added safety measures where a few moves will need vetting from higher ops so that they can be performed.

Ever since the news has broken out, people have flooded Twitter with memes that state Jon Moxley may very well be retiring from his AEW stint as a sarcastic homage to the kind of brutality that separates him from the others in the ring.
