Graeme Swann praised Hardik Pandya for continuing the momentum that had been established by Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav during the first Twenty20 international that took place between India and England.
Pandya led the way for the visitors with a score of 51 off of 33 balls as they set a target of 199 runs for the hhttps://sportsamaze.com/kn-amaze-ome team. After that, the Indian bowlers were able to dismiss England for 148, which held the team to a victory in the match by a comfortable margin of 50 runs.
In the course of a conversation on Sony Sports, a question was posed to Swann about whether or not this was a controlled version of Hardik Pandya, who is capable of batting at varying his pace. In response, he said:
“Because he was taking his time with Gujarat, I don’t believe there was the same kind of control. I was extremely pleased with how he continued the run pace that SKY (Suryakumar Yadav) and Hooda had been able to achieve. He came out firing today.”
Graeme Swann praises Hardik Pandya
The former England spinner observed that it is not always possible for a new batter to sustain the run pace that has been established by the batters who came before them. Swann continued by saying:
“In situations in which teams get off to a fast start, it might be difficult for a new guy to come in and stay up with them; but, he managed to do so today. Today, he looked outstanding with both the bat and the ball, and I was really delighted by his performance. That was a fantastic blow from him.”
After stepping out to bat in the ninth over after the loss of Hooda’s wicket, Pandya hammered six fours, and one six. After that, he formed helpful partnerships with Yadav and Axar Patel, which ultimately contributed to the Men in Blue achieving a daunting score.
Hardik Pandya finished with statistics of 4/33 in his four overs, which surpassed his previous best stint of 4/38, which also occurred against England.
