India is involved in a tricky chase to win the second encounter against Bangladesh in Dhaka. KL Rahul was expected to lead the chase but he departed after scoring just two runs. Here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted to Twitter reacts to KL Rahul’s yet another failure against Bangladesh.
Time for the management to take a bold call
KL Rahul has failed in all the games in Bangladesh. Especially, in Tests, leading the side, KL Rahul was the senior opener and yet, Shubman Gill has been far better than him. With Rohit Sharma likely to play in the Australia Tests, it won’t be a surprise if KL Rahul does not find a spot in the playing XI.
The management has not taken a lot of bold calls in recent years. However, the time has arrived for the coach and selectors to make a strong decision regarding KL Rahul. There are plenty of openers like Priyank Panchal waiting for their chances. For his confidence, too, KL Rahul does need to go back to domestic cricket and get some form. In this regard, it would be best if India drops the player for the next tournaments.

There is no lack of talent in India at the moment. Moreover, India needs to change its approach, especially with the bat, in all three formats of the game. With his current lack of confidence, it would be hard to expect KL Rahul to perform consistently and show intent for Team India. Hence, India can consider including the likes of Prithvi Shaw in future tournaments, especially those that happen in India. At least, Shaw would get some quick runs which would reduce pressure on the No.3 and No.4 batters. On that note, here is how Twitter reacted to KL Rahul’s failure:
KL Rahul can save team India by not playing.
