“He Is An IPL Legend”- Harbhajan Singh Showers Praise On Underrated Indian Player

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh was one of the best bowlers to have played in the Indian Premier League. He was the first player to captain the Mumbai Indians franchise in the league. After playing 10 seasons and winning three championships with Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan played for the Chennai Super Kings from 2018 to 2020.

Harbhajan Singh won one more title with CSK and in 2021, he played his last IPL season for the Kolkata Knight Riders. In his last season, Singh finished runners-up with KKR. Soon after IPL 2021, the right-arm off-spinner published a video on his official YouTube channel, announcing his retirement from all formats of cricket.

Singh now works as a cricket expert and shares his views on the recent happenings in the world of cricket. In a recent appearance on Sportskeeda’s show Match Ki Baat ahead of the IPL 2022 match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, Singh heaped praise on Shikhar Dhawan.

Shikhar is one of the only two players to have scored 6,000 runs in the Indian Premier League. However, according to Singh, he has always been underrated.

Shikhar Dhawan played the first season of his Indian Premier League career for the Delhi Capitals. He then moved to Mumbai Indians before playing for Deccan Chargers and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2019, he joined Delhi Capitals again and in 2022 now, he is playing for the Punjab Kings. He has always been a consistent performer in IPL matches. Talking about his achievements in the Indian Premier League, Singh said:

“Shikhar Dhawan deserves praise as he has scored over 6000 runs. He is not talked about as much as other players and some are given too much attention. He is an IPL legend in himself. He has scored runs against all the opposition and proved himself.”
