Prithvi Shaw stopped by the Police on his way to Goa

The sudden stoppage of IPL 2021 has created a pause in the cricketing action. All the Indian fans would be hoping to have some action as soon as the WTC final takes place. The squad might not feature Prithvi Shaw, Hardik, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar; still, the craze is too high.

Prithvi Shaw emerged out as a star player in the recently suspended IPL season. Still, he failed to cement his place in the Indian squad. The reports stated that the player has some fitness concern and need to shed his weight a little. If he can get this, then he might be once again back in the Blue jersey.

However, India’s upcoming series against Sri Lanka can be a breakthrough moment for him. He potentially holds the chance of getting featured in that squad. If he manages to showcase his real skills, this might open the T20 World Cup doors.

Currently, with no cricketing action going on, Shaw decided to have a vacation in Goa. However, this turned out as an issue for him since lockdown is being witnessed everywhere. The cricketer chose to take the road and was traveling with his friends in the car.

Prithvi Shaw didn’t have the e-pass for traveling

But the Amboli Police had to stop him as the cricketer didn’t have the e-pass. It’s compulsory to have an e-pass to travel in the states with the lockdown. Shaw pleaded to the police to let him enter but was not allowed to do so. However, with no option left, he then applied for the e-pass online through his phone. After 1 hour, he was then allowed to carry forward his journey.

Prithvi Shaw has the golden opportunity to get back to the Indian squad following the Sri Lanka series. With T20 World Cup coming soon, he must fully utilize this opportunity to get going. It would be interesting to see whether he gets the chance to open for India vs. Sri Lanka or not.
