Indian batter Ajinkya has proved to be the light at the end of a long tunnel for India in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia. The right-hander has batted exceptionally well and has played a magnificent knock.
Ajinkya Rahane came to bat when India was suffering at 50/3. The batter showed great patience and also punished bad balls as well. He first stitched 71 runs partnership with Ravindra Jadeja (48) and saved India from humiliation in the first innings.
After the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane took charge and played exceptionally well. Luck too favoured him as he survived a few close calls. But nothing to take away from him as he played a knock of ages.
Ajinkya Rahane ended with the knock of 89 runs at the big stage and made sure that he take his team close to Australiaโs first-innings total of 469 runs. He oozed his class as he played some magnificent drives and gave some joy to Indian fans.
