Opting to bowl first, the Shafali Verma-led side exhibited a sensational show of bowling as they made a mockery of Kiwi batters. They were off the flyer and their half-side was back in the hut for just 74 runs. India didn’t let the opposition get on top as they restricted them to a total of just 107 runs.

Georgia Plimmer (35) and Isabella Gaze (26) were the stars for their side and powered the team to over 100 runs.

Chasing the target, India lost skipper Verma early for 10 runs. But Shweta Sehrawat smashed a staggering unbeaten half-century and guided her side to the 9-wicket victory. She was well complimented by Soumya Tiwari, who scored 22 runs, as India advanced to the final.
