WWE Extreme Rules is on the horizon as the company’s next premium live event, taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 8. Ahead of the grand show, fans across the world have been making their WWE Extreme Rules 2022 predictions.
This will be the first time an Extreme Rules event will be held in the month of October and the first to be held on a Saturday instead of WWE’s traditional pay-per-view day of Sunday.
This year’s match card is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and unconventional cards in the history of the pay-per-view show with different kinds of physical tormenting match stipulations for each bout scheduled for the stacked card.
One of those brutal and physical matches will see arch-nemesis Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross collide in a Strap match, marking their first-ever encounter inside a WWE squared circle and Kross’ first high-profile match since making his WWE comeback.

Ever since the unorthodox Superstar made his return to the WWE in early August, he quickly inserted himself in the feud between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
In the following weeks, Kross would launch a series of sneak attacks on McIntyre and quickly retreated before the Scottish Warrior ever got the chance to retaliate back.
On the September 23 episode of SmackDown, it was announced that WWE officials had granted Drew a one-on-one showdown with Karrion Kross with the stipulation being a Strap match at Extreme Rules, meaning that there would be no running for either of them as both competitors will be tied in close proximity to each other via a leather strap acting as a weapon for use, helping in securing the pinfall and ending their differences once and for all.

Drew McIntyre looked to ascend to the top of the mountain during his feud with Roman Reigns with many fans and rumors indicating that he would finally achieve his big crowning moment at WWE Clash at the Castle in front of his home crowd of the United Kingdom and be The One to dethrone The One for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
However, despite being a major fan favorite heading into the match with all the momentum and even evading a timely distraction by Karrion Kross sitting ringside for the match, McIntyre was mere seconds away from securing the pinfall and defeating Roman Reigns.
But thanks to a timely assist by the debuting Solo Sikoa, Reigns was able to escape with the World Title leaving McIntyre fallen in the ring with his dreams shattered in his home field.
That defeat sent McIntyre straight to the back of the line in the title picture losing all the build-up and being driven away from the main event scene.
So, it would make perfect sense for Drew to take a hard-fought loss to give Karrion Kross the necessary push he needs to be established as a credible main event performer, with Drew not being affected by the loss much and doing his part of giving back to the business by building Kross on his expense.
Therefore, the WWE Extreme Rules 2022 predictions hint that the winner of the match might be Karrion Kross.
