WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 will take place a week from Saturday in Canada. The main event of the show will be Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn, and the question in everyone’s minds is who will win the match for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.
Montreal is the hometown of Zayn in kayfabe. Roman offered him a match in his hometown, asking him to bring his family with him to watch how the Tribal Chief humiliates the former Honorary Uce.
The rivalry between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn has had one of the most compelling build-ups in recent WWE history. Reigns allowed Zayn to join The Bloodline as an Honorary Uce. Zayn became so popular that the WWE creative team turned him from a comedy act into a serious member of the faction. Zayn, along with The Usos and Solo Sikoa, wreaked havoc on RAW and SmackDown.

After successfully retaining his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, Roman and his men beat down Kevin Owens, who was also Sami Zayn’s former best friend. The Tribal Chief urged Zayn to destroy Owens, but he refused and attacked Roman with a chair.

On the fallout episode of SmackDown, Sami Zayn attacked Roman Reigns once again. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa took him down. Soon after, Roman Reigns granted him a Undisputed Universal Championship match.

Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion for almost 900 days. He is scheduled to defend his title against Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 39. As per rumors, WWE does not see Zayn as someone who can headline an event like WrestleMania.
