3 New Zealand players who could be replacement signings in IPL 2024

New Zealand cricketers have been getting good opportunities in the IPL recently. The likes of Kane Williamson and Trent Boult have done well, leading the way for other talented cricketers to play in the IPL. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three New Zealand players who could be replacement signings in IPL 2024.

1) Jimmy Neesham

Despite doing well for his country and in other leagues, Neesham has not been able to deliver in the IPL. He has also got a decent amount of chances to show his skills.

Nevertheless, he is a talented cricketer and is a left-handed batting all-rounder. So, there would be teams that would like to hire him for the upcoming season.

2) Matt Henry

Matt Henry is underrated when it comes to the T20 format. While he has been consistent in the ODIs, his T20 stats are not great but in IPL, the focus would be more on the skills rather than numbers.

Henry is someone who can bowl at multiple phases in an innings. He can move the ball, hit the deck hard and also execute some variations at the death. He is experienced and would be an intelligent pick for any side.

3) Mark Chapman

Mark Chapman is one of the New Zealand players who could be replacement signings in IPL 2024. The former Hong Kong cricketer was one of the best T20 players in 2023. It was one of the main reasons why he also featured for the Kiwis consistently in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

A lower-order big-hitter, Chapman can also offer services with the ball. He is a left-hander, that could further attract teams looking for a player of this profile in the lower middle-order. Therefore, if any of the batter gets ruled out of IPL 2024, Chapman would be an interesting option to replace the cricketer.
