IPL 2020: Five players who have played just one game for RCB

IPL can make or break careers. Domestic players wait for the chance to play in the tournament. Being one of the biggest stages in the world, the IPL can raise the stock of anyone talented enough to grab the opportunity. Today we will take a look at five players who played just one game for RCB.

#1 Abdur Razzak

Abdur Razzak was a talented Bangladesh spinner who played more than 150 matches for Bangladesh. He was a regular feature in the country’s limited overs side. Razzak made a comeback in 2014 after retiring.

Sadly, he played only one match for the RCB and was the only Bangladesh player to take part in the first season of IPL in 2008. However, he did not do much of notice.

#2 Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan is a talented pacer. The 24-year old played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore for only a single match. Khan played his debut T20 match in the IPL on 14th May 2017.

He took a single wicket and went for 23 runs. He also played for the Delhi Daredevils and was reprimanded for bad behavior. Khan has however impressed everyone with his talent and has a great future ahead of him.

#3 Raju Bhatkal

Raju Bhatkal proved to be very expensive in the 2 overs that bowled. He leaked 35 runs. However, he performed decently with the bat, scoring 25 runs in 18 balls. His partnership with Vettori is the highest 7th-wicket partnership in the tournament.

He hasn’t made much news ever since his stint in the RCB in 2011. Bhatkal has been a great hand in domestic cricket.

#4. Nayan Doshi

Nayan Doshi has played for two IPL teams. He played for Rajasthan Royals and RCB. Doshi made his IPL debut in 2010 and performed decently. He ended up with the figures 4-0-17-1. Doshi is a highly hailed T20 player in English cricket.

He played domestic cricket for Saurashtra, but then moved on to English cricket and played for Surrey. He made his debut against the Deccan Chargers in that year’s playoffs.

#5 Shadab Jakati

Shadab Jakati is a left-arm spinner and a right arm batsman. He used IPL to increase his stock. And that he did, as when he was picked by the CSK, he helped the team surge with his turn on South African pitches.

Jakati made his one and only appearance for the RCB in 2014. He then went on to play for the Gujarat Lions in 2017. Jakati has now retired and entered into active politics.
