India lost the second T20I encounter to West Indies at Warner Park in St Kitts on Monday by five wickets. Today, the two teams will face again at the same venue in the third game of the series. While batting was the issue for India in the second game, some of the bowlers were also not fully impactful. Therefore, we could witness some changes to the playing XI for the upcoming game. On that note, here, we take a look at two changes India should make for the playing XI today for Ind vs WI 3rd T20I.
1) Deepak Hooda could replace Shreyas Iyer in Ind vs WI 3rd T20I
While Shreyas Iyer was duck out in the first game, he could make just 10 runs in the last match. His form in T20Is has anyways been underwhelming in recent months. Hence, it is a no-brainer that the in-form Deepak Hooda should get his chance.
Deepak scored a T20I century recently and is in red-hot form. He is confident and it is wise for the management to make the best use of his current form. India also need not worry much about the batting order. Deepak can straightaway replace Shreyas at No.3 in the order. The player can also give a few overs of off-spin which allows the management to tinker with the bowling combination, as well. These factors make him a much-needed inclusion for the second match.
2) Ravi Bishnoi for Avesh Khan
Ravi Bishnoi for Avesh Khan is one of the changes India should make for the playing XI today for Ind vs WI 3rd T20I. Avesh Khan did not have a great outing in the second game. In 2.2 overs, he went for 31 runs and was one of the main reasons for India’s dismal bowling show.
It is reported that Harshal Patel is not fit. Therefore, India could have to bring in another spinner because of the lack of options. Ravi Bishnoi did well in the first encounter by collecting two wickets. West Indian batters did struggle against him. Hence, there is a chance that the leggie could come in place of Avesh for today’s encounter.
