5 Superstars Who Could Return At WWE SummerSlam 2022

WWE SummerSlam 2022 is just four weeks away. The reverse countdown to the Biggest Party of the Summer has started. Last Saturday, WWE hosted the Money in the Bank premium live event in Las Vegas, where Theory won the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, while Liv Morgan won the briefcase, cashed in successfully, and became the new WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.

WWE has already confirmed two big matches for SummerSlam 2022. Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match, while Pat McAfee will go one-on-one with Happy Corbin.

Last year, Lesnar made his epic return at SummerSlam, and this year, the following five Superstars could return to WWE at the Biggest Party of Summer.

1. Charlotte Flair could return at WWE SummerSlam 2022

As per reports, Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey will have a rematch at SummerSlam. Since Ronda has been booked strongly on WWE TV, it is likely that the company may book her to lose but with outside interference. Charlotte Flair could return to avenge her previous loss against Ronda and cost her the title.

2. Shane McMahon could return at WWE SummerSlam 2022

With Stephanie McMahon taking over as the interim CEO of WWE, the chances of her convincing Shane to make a comeback are high. Shane McMahon is a big draw and could be booked in some massive matches for the stadium shows later this year.

3. Tyson Fury could return at WWE SummerSlam 2022

WWE will travel to the UK for a special premium live event this year. They may consider bringing back Tyson Fury for this show, and his feud could start at the Biggest Party of Summer.

4. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has been out of action due to a brain injury. Fans should note that she became the number one contender for the RAW Women’s Championship before getting injured. So she could come back after the RAW Women’s title match at SummerSlam and attack the champion ahead of the UK special show.

5. Naomi

Sonya Deville slapped Adam Pearce recently on WWE TV. So Pearce could book her in a SummerSlam match with a surprise opponent. At the biggest party of the summer, Pearce would announce Naomi as her opponent. Deville and Naomi have a long history with each other, so it would make sense to have another match between the two. Probably, WWE could make it a No Disqualification Match as well.
